Marcus Adams is a saxophonist, vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who describes his sound as soul jazz—a contemporary blend of smooth jazz melody, gospel feeling, and R&B presence. Born in Greenwood, Mississippi, and raised in a church-centered musical environment, he wrote his first song as a child before hearing David Sanborn and setting his sights on the saxophone.
After moving to Milwaukee as a teenager, Adams became a standout young musician and began building a career that would include work alongside artists such as Peter White, Rick Braun, Fred Hammond, Brian Simpson, and Julian Vaughn. His album Reset reflects both his musical range and his advocacy around mental health, joining instrumental polish with songs rooted in resilience and reflection.
