About the Artist
Summer Soul Band is a five-piece Atlanta ensemble formed in 2022 by musicians who wanted a flexible live group capable of honoring multiple generations of Black popular music. Their sound blends R&B and neo-soul with hip-hop, pop, blues, and rock, giving the band a broad palette while keeping soulful vocals and rhythm-section chemistry at the center.
Because the members bring different musical backgrounds, the group approaches familiar songs with fresh arrangements rather than copying recordings note for note. Their sets are built to move—between eras, tempos, lead voices, and moods—while maintaining the sense of ease that comes from musicians listening closely to one another.
