Vocalist Toni Byrd

Toni Byrd is an internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist and songwriter known as “The Velvet SongByrd.” A Memphis native now based in Atlanta, Byrd is celebrated for her warm, soulful tone, elegant phrasing, and expressive storytelling. Her career includes performances with artists such as Peabo Bryson, Kenny G, Alex Bugnon, Wycliffe Gordon, and Take 6, along with a 2016 performance at the White House during the Obama Administration. She is also a recipient of the Black Women in Jazz Award and a former semifinalist in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition.
