The PR Experience is the horn-forward creation of trumpeter Nelson Render and trombonist Marvin Pryor, two formally trained musicians whose combined careers span more than five decades. Drawing on studies at institutions including Berklee College of Music, Florida A&M University, and Delaware State University, the Atlanta duo built a sound that places brass melody and improvisation at the center of jazz, funk, R&B, and neo-soul.

Render and Pryor have performed or shared stages with artists such as Ray Charles, Cameo, the Ohio Players, Najee, Mike Phillips, Rick Braun, and Eric Roberson. Their work has also received regional recognition, including Georgia music honors for the group and its song “Take a Walk With Me.” Their album #thatswhatsup captures the same polished but playful character they bring to live performance.
