Front of House (FOH) Manager

St. James Live and SJ Cafe & Cocktails are seeking an experienced and energetic Front of House Manager to lead daily guest-facing operations.

The ideal candidate is a confident hospitality professional who understands restaurant service, team leadership and the unique demands of a live entertainment environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring that guests receive a welcoming, organized and memorable experience from arrival through the end of service.

The FOH Manager will work closely with management, servers, bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff and other team members to maintain service standards and keep operations running smoothly during both regular dining service and live events.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise front-of-house operations during assigned shifts
• Coordinate servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners and bussers
• Ensure guests receive professional, attentive and timely service
• Monitor reservations, seating flow and table turnover
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate service expectations
• Support staff during high-volume periods and live performances
• Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns and service issues
• Maintain awareness of food, beverage and entertainment offerings
• Ensure service areas remain clean, organized and properly stocked
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain efficient service
• Assist with staff training, coaching and performance management
• Help enforce company procedures, safety standards and alcohol-service policies
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Support management with scheduling, inventory and operational needs as assigned

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, hospitality or venue management experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent guest-service and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Understanding of restaurant service standards and FOH operations
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
• Comfortable working in a live entertainment environment
• Ability to stand and move throughout extended shifts
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
